There goes my weekend....
Im feeling sick atm, might fever ..well im not too sure.. but for sure it started since thursday...
Kinda like forcing myself to take in medicines...
Woods peppermint for the cough..
Uphamol for the body temperature...in which everything seems like freezing cold to me.
And best of all... ive wasted $3.60 on being gullible enough to buy this chinese medicine...HaHA..
I should have just bought panadol actifast... it does kinda help though to relieve the headaches.

And yesterday i found out that my dad kinda bought this LEmsip.
Lemsip is kinda like a lemon flavour powder containing paracetamol.
Its good for having colds, headaches.. and trust me it works..
but its kinda like not being sold here for god knows what ever reasons..
It was actually recommended by a dr to us.
But anyways.. i spend the whole friday afternoon.. sleeping!

In my office... closed the door...cos the catch was i didnt want to spread the germs to everyone else.
And i didnt take the time off cos i needed to finish up my work boo hoo hoo.
But yeah im fine wth that.

Cant wait for my vacation soon!

Anyways i lost my password on flickr... stupid eh..i mean why cant they dont collaborate it with Yahooooo....cos i dont check the yahoo email a lot..
hahha bitter me.. but yeah... now i have to open up a new account! Darn it!

Hello everyone...

Sorry for the lack of updates...
Been busy as always....

Just a quick update...

Heart Of Borneo Challenge..
I didnt join because a week before the challenge... i had a bike crash..
The timing was absolutely wrong...
I dont wanna go into details... on what happened...
It was such a traumatic experience and im still scared to ride my bike...
but now i heard Armstrong is making a comeback...
so i guess that eased off my pressure a lil bit...
at least im THINKING to start cycling again! slowly...

Starting school again...
Oh ya..ive started school again.. which i really have to cos i have no other choice and stick to my goals... of getting a qualification...
SO yeah here we go again with the ever tiring schedule of having to go to work.. then after work going to school...man i really need berocca again for this..
It keeps me awake and alert in class....
I didnt take the monday class cos i didnt want to overexert myself...going the whole 4 days of classes..so yeah.. tues, wed and thurs will be packed days for me...

Okies thats all for now...

I've been lazy and busy lately,
with work mostlynya lah... been taking pics out and about.. but didnt manage to upload it...

Started running sudah... and im proud to say that ive pushed harder these days...
a fren of mine just got his six pack.....and thats all thanks to running!
But then again i dont think ill be able to get that... even during my recruit days pun inda dapat... haha.....apatah lagi now... cmon lah! hehe...
Fuzzy has promised to run with me this wednesday... takut ku plang ketinggalan...
Ghost just got out of the Spital, he was admitted for 10days because of Pneumonia kah. whatever... but he's all good now.. and needs to regain his fitness.. so i guess he will be able to join us for afternoon runs!

The Chef did something wrong or was he just seeking attention, Perhaps? hehe

Pikachu has also arrived back from the ocean.... so we plan to start golf soon... arab is game on.. and damn we miss the par 3 sessions... and i think Ghost will be able to join us too...
we were talking bout it the other day... hehe so yeah.. driving tah dulu nie...
Uncle Latip wud be proud of me if i start balik semula...
He kept asking me bila lagi driving.. so i think ill have to call him soon.. hehe..
Now that the GW's main guys are back in action i guess we will be having a busy mth soon hehe.

Heart of Borneo challenge is also on.. im still wondering whether i shud buy the Road bIke or jst modify my MTB... need an aerobar and road tyres..... takut ku jua dapat the lucky draw.. hehe third time lucky.. well ive been lucky plang.. haha.. twice getting the lucky draws in both expeditions....so i guess will be meeting the cycling ppl... legend, anak panyu, mr Bujang, Ngians.. etc etc.. iski ku plang ganya alum ku training salnya always akhir bangun.. haha

Hello peeps...

I've finally bought my first SLR... after much thinking and persuasion by some frens... and best fren.
Ive laid my hands on the canon 450D! yay!

I guess its such a worthwhile to get those...

Ive taken lots of pics already with that... its a learning process
but before i can proceed with showcasing my pics.. i need to learn on how to watermark..
its kinda hard tho... so i might need a lil help on that..

i will revamp this blog to be more like a photoblog...
less the cycling thingy...hehe but hey kami still cycling dont worry...

Its just that i dont think ill be able to maintain two blogs...one is my personal hehe like really really personal..

One Week...

Last Sunday, The Sparians... went on a sunday morning ride with the Tutong group...
The destination was from tutong to Muara... but we opted to join from shahbandar to Muara...
I think we covered almost like 40 km lah kali.. or maybe 50...
between that lah ah...
we joined the group at around 9.... then sampai muara dalam 10.30 kah? or 11... aku pun inda ingat cos kan kepisan ganya inda...
laju ani bah.. durang ah.. gila gilahan...
abis atu makan lagi tu d muara ah..
Ada tia mengudar nasi briyani...
ada tia nasi ayam...
ada tia mengudar ruti talur... dua lagi tu...... haha..
skali kami tulak from muara around 11.30... then sampai ke shahbandar around 2 ish...
FCuK man........mengaleh wah,,,,,,,
But then again it was good experience for us both...

We got to ride with the legend yo...
sambil riding.. kami ceta ceta lah jua...
just to slow them down.. hehe...
Semangat kesukanan atu bagus lah jua...
Tapi seriously lah ah...

Last sunday kan... kami kan.. SAIKALING bah...( No offence here.. its an inside joke anyways... ) hehe

It was organised by Jabatan Perumahan...Kementerian pembangunan.
It was our first time joining an expedition in Bandar..from what we've heard before the event, this is an annual thingy organised by Jabatan Perumahan.
The next expedition would be sumtime in July.. then thats it......

It seems like theres only 3 expedition saja here in brunei...we need more. Ini adalah menurut statistik yang telah d buat oleh Kawan Baru kami..ANAK PANYU...hehe.. Tapikan.. siapa jua kan membuat lagi expedition ani..
ani asal expedition mesti ada lucky draw...Mun hadiahnya basikal saja.. mana kan tahan... kapisan tu triplestar atu karang..
If dapat hadiah "weighing scale" as the grand prize kan alangkah bisainya.. hehe
macam kawan kami seorang atu.. haha..

But anyways... balik kepada cereta asal lah ah...
Adakah patut pukul 6.30 pagi.. kana telipun...
and menurut pemanggil telipun itu... semua orang sudah sedia berkumpul...
Kami masih berada dirumah.. mencari roti tawar.. ataupun apa apa makanan yang ada..
sekalinya.. bila mendangar miatu... tarus tah kami jalan..
kami sampai kira kira 6.50pagi.. kusut sudah muka kami ah...macam kan minta terikah ganya inda..
then sampai disana... berkumpul eh orang ah,.... betamu GIGI bah.....
membari marah.. ada jua... membari garam ati ada jua...
tapi sebenarnya.... kan ketawa ada jua pasalnya KANA PUNKED ani wah..
Makan jangan tak makannnnn

skalinya... bejalan kul 7.50 pagi..
Macam macam belaku bah... ada tia AMAI tangan.. mempump tayarnya tapi tebalik cos inda pandai makai pump...
ada yang kusut salnya alum makan...
Ada yang round round..kira manaskan enjin biskal lah konon...
hehhe
Ada jua yang sibuk sibuk meliat orang cos takut sama Baju yoooo... hehe
al maklum lah urang brunei.. heheh inda kan mau sama atu bah..

So on the way cycling atu... banyak yang kami nampak...
kereta.. manusia...bangunan...motorsikal hijau... motorsikal biru....Anak brunei pun kami terjumpa... sampai dimasukkannya lagi tu eh ke blognya ah...Tahniah Sparian B.. anda telah menjadi famous sekajap...Yang biker makai bike hijau atu... if u reading this.. eseh....macam surat cinta saja bah...apa nama blog u ah? hehhe..kan meliat pics yang biskita ambil ah..

Banyakkan bercereta lah saja kami time expedition atu.. pasalnya kan bukannya belumba... mun belumba malas ku ingau kan bercereta...eseh.. cam banar ganya ni eh.. hehe
Tunggu tah road bike...
Bah to those yang alum ada basikal.. silalah membali basikal.. kerana harga minyak mungkin naik.. hehe.. save jua sikit sumber sumber tenaga tani...harga paling mahal sebuah biskal adalah dalam 12 ribu... atu baru basikalnya tu.. alum lagi cost itu ini. helmet lah.. baju lah.. lampung lah.
tayar lah.. pam lah...cost minum d Akhbar restaurant sengkurong...cost makan roti talur abis cycling...cost kehilangan butul...mau jua dalam 20 ribu lagi lah... haha..

Temburong Expedition 24 february

The Temburong expedition took place on the 24th of February 2008, Sunday.
Members from the cycling community gathered for this expedition.
The expedition covered 25 Km altogether, the starting point was at the Batu Apoi Balai Raya and ended at the Balai Raya too.

Around 150 cyclists joined the expedition which was organised by the Batu Apoi village head in conjunction with the national day. Rained poured heavily at the start of the expedition, it was supposed to start at 7.30 but the cyclists from bandar arrived a lil bit later from the schedule as it was also raining heavily in bandar. Upon our arrival to temburong, we immediately opted to ride to the Balai Raya, as one of the organiser told us its just a 4km ride.

Just as we were about to hop on our bikes, it was raining heavily. Just imagine rain pouring down while we were doing our warm up ride. The Sparian group along with some others opted to just ride on....Ride to live, Live to ride yo.. hehe
It was our first time riding in the rain. Fun? maybe not cos it was just too cold. U can get cramps on the cvalf muscle for that actually, we nearly had one.
we arrived safely at the balai raya, we actually arrived last as we were trying to catch up with the smaller pelotons. But we were just tired after the early morning wake up call at 5am! with no breakfast.... wondered if we could get some food before the expedition. Luckily they were food and drinks provided. Ate as much as we can.. especially the cucur pisang.. cos the bananas gives energy, you know.

We registered our names and took our lucky draw numbers, saw a couple of familiar faces.
During the safety brief, there was an explosion.. one of the cyclists tyres burst but he managed to join the expedition as i guess he brought along his spare "Tube" ( Bladdar as we malays call it haha , bukan bladder hehe )
The expedition started with no incidents, there were concerns with the kids cycling. they were basically weaving in and out inconsistently.. racing against each other.. much to the annoyance of the other cyclists. And it happened, two kids slammed into each other. it happened when one of them was trying to avoid the puddle...well serves them right for not cycling properly and safely.
The road conditions was slippery hence the need to ride safely and ethically.
The organisers did a great job in ensuring the safety of the cyclists are not compromise. whistle was blown by safety marshals to warn the others of incoming vehicles. The police was also on hand to ensure that vehicles were stopped appropriately.

We arrived safely at the finish point, after a word of thanks from the Penghulu, the Lucky draw was the attraction of the day.

We have submitted our forms for temburong Expedition...
Hopefully it is still on... fingers crossed...maybe i can get my hands on the Biggest lucky draw prize...
hahah... mun ku dapat bah that bike.....inda ku memakai tu... ku simpan saja hahha...
but anyways... i know that for sure... im not always that lucky... inda ku dapat tu...
Biasanya.. jarang ku kan dapat lucky draw ani bah...
kalau dapat pun sukur tah saja.. hehe..

Anyways.... ive been busy lately...doing some running... didnt touch the bike just as yet... so im gonna ride it once im free...

ANyways... i stumbled upon good information with regards to cycling safety.....
Safety is paramount when riding ur bike...
we shud be prepared for anything.... not that im saying that we will be safe.. but at least try to reduce the probability of dying.. hehe..( knock wood eh..)

1. Any mishap is likely to leave you worse off than whoever else is involved

2.Consider wearing a cycle helmet but please do not think that a helmet makes you indestructable. ( I know someone who decided not to wear one masa d stadium....kambang kali...NADA HSE wah anak ah... but in the end he decided to wear one.. ) pandai jua takut thinking that if ia terabah might knock his head on the tarmac...stable... etc etc.

3.One of the first rules of safety on the roads is be seen - wear bright clothing (and consider wearing a helmet) seeeeeee... PAkai helmet.. jan majal! hahha

4.Always have at least one reflector on your bike. The best place for reflectors is on the back of your pedals. The up and down of the pedals is very noticeable to motorists. ( its oh so true and logical....) hehhe

We had an afternoon ride last friday...which was on the 1st of February, just the two of us..exploring places in jerudong...
We started off by going to JP....
I remembered that JP used to be the place to go during my teenage years...
Had lots of fun there....playing the games...
There were certain rides that i did not even dare to go for... like the boomerang...rollercoasters..etc etc....the most adventurous that ive climb on was the giant drop...i think that was quite scary actually....

And i had one experience riding on the Big Pirate ship... hehe..
i went on the pirate ship with my dad and uncle...
the three of us sat on one row...
my dad being the quiet one... remained quiet ... while my uncle kept shouting over and over again to ask them to stop.
but i guess no one heard us amidst all the shouting...
sampai red faced bah my uncle ah... probably naik darah kali hehe..
oh well those were the days...
Now i see things differently... JP is just a place to makan...atupun sikit saja choices...

it was cool back then... dreaded the long queue tho...but now macam inda beusul tia...

This we found somewhere inside JP after the horses stable... hehe gila ah.. ada kubur also near there... but i dare not to gambar... karang ada yang lain lain ikut bergambar jua hehe...

Helloo everyone...

This is my first blog.. the blog will be about me and my mates journey around Brunei with our MTB ( Mountain bike that is.. hehe )
So far we've done three trips already...
One to Jerudong Beach from Sengkurong
the second was from Bukit Shahbandar and along the highway and went to the area behind JIS.. just venturing into the roads there.. adventure lah sikit.. hehe
then the latest one was from Tasek Meradun to Bandar Seri begawan... and that was fun but scary too cos the road shoulders were small...

Guess where is this... Di tasek lama yo... was my first time kesana...
now i know where tasek is.. but i still prefer shahbandar... maybe cos the parking lot is bigger than taseks.

I think the old customs house should be turned into like a cafe or restaurant... u know.. overviewing the river... something like portview....or Kianggehs.. its nicer i guess.. and u dont have to park near the cemetery...hehe

Kesiukan : awal saja siuk then balik inda cos banyak KERETA!
Masalah teknikal : nada...
Singgah : nada..
Pengalaman tidak dapat dilupakan : apabila kawan saya cuba menguyung motosikal...tapi inda dapat....
pengalaman manis.. : apabila motorsikal yang disebutkan diatas... hampir melanggar kami.. hehe.. BAUTA ani wah!
